THE
OFFICIAL SUPPORTING CLUB OF JERICHO MOUNTAIN STATE PARK
IN BERLIN, NH!
|
|
May 2008
The Androscoggin Valley ATV Club would like to remind ATV riders that area trails are still closed for mud season, which is almost over. The club is now in the process of getting ready for riding season. The club currently
maintains (most of the year) by volunteers only, 64 miles of trails in the Berlin area. On May 10 and 11, volunteers will be meeting at Jericho Motorsports parking lot at 9:00am for trail clean-up. We will also meet on May 17 and 18 at Success Trailhead at 9:00 am. We had a tough winter and there is a lot of work to be done. The club is seeking all ATV enthusiasts to volunteer to help get the trail ready to ride. As of this point the club’s current membership body consists largely from out of town/state residence. Now is the time for all area ATV owners to support your local club so our area trails can continue to be developed and maintained for everyone’s enjoyment. Anyone interested in volunteering may show up at any scheduled date and a Trailmaster will assign the areas to be worked on, or you may contact Randy at Jericho Motorsports at 752-7424 for more information. We would like to also remind riders that trails will be closed for riding until May 23, pending conditions. Our 3rd annual Membership Ride-In and BBQ will be held at Jericho Mountain State Park on June 7, 2008.
See everyone out on the trails. Ride safely.
Sincerely
April Lamontagne
AVATV Club Secretary.

CONGRATULATIONS to Mr. Robert Mitchell of Berlin, NH who was the lucky winner of the 2007 Arctic Cat 400 that was raffled off to help in the construction of a club house for the Androscoggin Valley All-Terrain Club.
Mr. Mitchell is a disabled Army veteran and moved up to Berlin 4-5 months ago with his wife Karina & daughter Nika. He was very thrilled about winning saying that “I have never won anything in my life”.
A generous special Thank You goes to Arctic Cat, Inc. and Jericho Motorsports, LLC, for the full donation of this machine. Special Thanks also to all those who spent time to sell the tickets, transporting the machine to different locations and to those who supported the AVATV Club by purchasing tickets. We hope to start the actual construction of the clubhouse in the spring of 2008.
Also, The winner of the helmet that was raffled off to anyone who donated either non-perishable item(s) or gave a donation at the Foliage ride/Food drive held at Jericho Park on Saturday, Oct. 6, 2007 was:
